CO 64 on size 0 needles (or whatever your usual is).
2x2 rib for cuff (about 1-1.5 inches).
Start heel flap on half the stitches, and do the heel turn. Pick up stitches as usual and knit the gusset.
Knit the foot as long as you need. Knit the toe. Kitchener.

Started these at NoCKRs (Northern California Knitting Retreat) but didn’t get too far. My foot and knee injuries actually did take some of my brain power and I kept forgetting to get out my knitting. Now that I’m home, I am knitting on them a little more consistently. Using the leftovers from the Jo’s Perfect Slipper Socks and had enough to finish without resorting to contrast heels and toes.
