April 12: Was going gangbusters on this until I broke my hand snowmobiling. After a three or four week hiatus, I’m knitting on it again, although I’m wearing a splint and still not fully healed. Really excited to finish this sweater, should be done just in time for summer. (To be honest I knit on it for a full week with a broken hand before even going to the doctor… whoops!)

August 1: finally ready to steek, going to try the knitted in zipper technique by TECHknitter.

September 23: Knitting in the zipper via TECHknitter’s method. Turning out beautifully, but taking 2 hours per side (ouch!). Having issues with stockinette edge ends coming out, so needle felting along the steeked edge to keep them secure. Really excited to finish the zipper and move on to the hood! Should be done with this sweater in a couple of days.
