This has surpassed my Lucy in the Sky cardigan and my Honeycomb Vest to become my favorite garment that I have knit so far. This pattern caught my eye when it was first published on Knitty, but I knew I had to make it when other Ravelers started posting their projects. I love the color, the bold lace pattern, the shawl color. Everything. It was a quick and enjoyable knit, and the result is a cozy and gorgeous cardigan.

I still haven’t sewn on buttons because I have only recently taken the initiative to figure out where I can get some buttons in this city. Still, I wore this a ton this spring. While I still intend to get some buttons for it to finish it off, I really enjoy wearing it open and will probably continue to do so.

I followed the instructions for the 41” bust size, and it blocked out to be around 42”, which is perfect because I wanted to sweater to be more close-fitting like in some of the other Rav projects I saw. Ultimately, if I wear this close (a hypothetical proposition, given its current lack of buttons), I end up wearing it with about 2” negative ease, which looks fine in the lace pattern. The only mod I really mad was to space the button holes closer together so that I ended up with 4 button holes instead of 3.
