I’ve been coveting this shawl for ages, ever since I first saw the pattern.

Temporarily stalled. I did the calculations, and I don’t have enough yarn from the sock blank to do the shawl body AND border. I don’t really want to make the shawl smaller, as it’s not huge to start with… So now I’m on the prowl for something suitable to work the border in!

I found some Shelridge Farm solid green in a very similar shade of green to the body colour, but it was too solid -- there was only the barest hint of tonal variation. I was dyeing some fibre with Lindsey of Waterloo Wools, and decided to throw a bit of brown dye at the green yarn, and now it’s a much better match!
