Making a hat for Matt since he shrunk the last one I knit him. Totally my fault for not making it out of a superwash- will not make that mistake again.

Instead of following a pattern, I’m just going to wing it and see what I come up with. Nothing too fancy, just simple and sturdy.

Starting with twisted 1x1 rib and will probably work up to stockinette so that this will be a nice TV watching knit.

Ended up going with ribbing throughout. Knit about 3.5” of twisted rib then regular ribbing for the rest. For decreases I placed stitch markers every 24 stitches and did SSK to the left of the market and K2TOG to the right of the marker every other round.
