Notes

Making this for Rita’s birthday. It’s been a while since I’ve worked on a hat that I actually have to pay attention to whilst I knit. This should be interesting…

I really like the Lark- it’s wooly without being too rough on my hands. If this hat were for me I’d have chosen a more lively color, but I can always plan another for myself.

FINALLY finished this!
Stalled out a bit because I wasn’t sure if she’d like the knot, but decided to follow the pattern as written. If she really, REALLY hates it I can always knit her another hat… The last thing I’d ever knit for her…
Needs a good block and away it goes to Rita.

This came out a bit shorter than I was expecting, but it should be fine. The Lark was a joy to work with- all the wonderful properties of wool, but still lofty and toasty warm, but not rough or scratchy- my hands are very grateful.

If I knit this again (which I may, for myself), I’ll extend the length a bit more before the crown decreases to make sure it covers my ears completely- it gets cold in these parts!
