Notes

I need a mindless sock for my reading for all of my exams over the next few days. WTF it’s not even finals! It’s actually worse because I have additional homework I need to be doing at the same time!

12/29/10 - Finished hourglass, so going to power through these to finish by Saturday.

12/30/10 - Sock #1 done. Not only is my gauge way off from normal, resulting in a really loose sock (it fits, but doesn’t have the negative ease I normally like, nor the durability of 9spi), but I knit the leg a half inch too long from my preferred length. Adjusting the second sock to 8spi numbers: 14 CO, 32 foot. And not knitting the leg half an inch too long. This is going to be one mis-matched pair…

12/31/10 - Well, I had a goal to finish the entire second sock on New Years Eve to have a clean slate for the new year. I knew I had it in me, it was just a matter of time, and how much my parents/brother interrupted my fanatic session. If I had knitted instead of participating in the annual New Years Eve fondue fest, I would have finished. But alas, fondue > sock knitting. I did manage an impressive 9.5” toe+foot+heel, and an additional 1.5” of leg. And I got to watch the entire original Star Wars trilogy (again).

1/1/11 - Done (as is brother’s game of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood *tear*). Left sock fits wonderfully, right sock a little big.
