Notes

Striped toes and heels.
6-row stripes
at start of toe, only 3 rows, then switch (makes one 6-row stripe block thing at toe)
Start heel after 4 rounds of knitting with new color for a stripe (3 + 1N).
2 rows (2) (5 + 1N)
’6 rows (8) (5 +1N)
6 rows (14) (5 +1N)
’6 rows (20) (5 + 1N)
2 rows (22) (1 + 1N)
going up:
’6 rows (6) (5 + 1N)
6 rows (12) (5 + 1N)
’6 rows (18) (5 + 1N)
4 rows (22) (3 + 1N)

A Bad Case of Stripes

7/1/11 - Started. Toe on first sock done, a little into foot.

8/1/11 - 5.5” of foot+toe.

9/1/11 - A little over halfway through the heel. Oh, why did the really, really long run of one color have to end right before the heel? It would have worked out so nicely otherwise…

10/1/11 - 3” of leg. Only two more inches to go on the first sock!

11/1/11 - Two rows short from binding off, but it’s 3AM, so I’ll finish the first sock off tomorrow. Decided to go with the solid toes/heels/cuffs for the second pair after all, because I just couldn’t stand the thought of the same stripe sequence on the second sock.

12/1/11 - Finished the first sock (it looks fabulous BTW, need to update the photo), figured out how to improve the BO, and got 2.5” of sock #2 done. Got to love compulsory have-to-watch-all-Doctor-Who-before-next-Netflix-billing-cycle-to-save-$10.

14/1/11 - Done with the heel on sock #2. Don’t think I’ll get much knitting in tomorrow (none, actually), but Sunday is traveling day (car, airport, plane, another airport, bus, metro, walking, university), so I’ll be getting lots of time to finish this sock.

16/1/11 - Done! They’re awesome, and I can’t believe how little yarn I used O.o
