Yarn amounts reflect both robots.

The arms, handles, felt pieces and pockets were stitched on to the robot bodies before stuffing and closing. Legs were sewn on after. The pattern suggests stuffing the bodies first, but this makes it easier to securely sew everything on.

For safety, I stitched the buttons to the felt pieces, then stitched the felt pieces to the body (before stuffing and closing), then stitched the buttons AGAIN through the felt and the body with separate thread. You may wish to consider using felt circles in place of buttons if this will be kept in a crib or other unsupervised play space.
