Cast on yesterday. Thanks to suhop, who convinced me not to start socks, but a sweater as first project this year.

Yes, I made a swatch, looked at it and then just cast on for size S ;) Let’s see if it works out.
The stripe pattern is supposed to match the one in the bottom pic (from a shirt that I like). I measured the width of them and established the pattern:

• the white stripe: 1 cm -> 7 rounds
• the caramel stripe: 0.5 cm -> 3 rounds

It’s not exactly the same, but it’s close enough for me.

I’ll knit 17-20 repeats of the stripe pattern, I’ll check the length after 17 reps and add some more repeats if necessary.

I would’ve done the whole sweater in the Madelintosh, but I only have enough yarn for half of it (remember, I’m holding it double), so I had to come up with a solution. I love stripes, and it will make the knitting less boring, so here I go!
