For my dear friend Christin.

All ends woven in at the SnB. 2nd picture was also taken there ;)

Finished the second mitten yesterday in the late evening. I think it is a tad longer than the other, but that may be gone after blocking.
I still need to weave in the ends and take pictures, maybe with me wearing them?
All in all a good pattern, easy to follow, clearly written and a good introduction into cables.

I’m already past the thumb gusset, so yeah! progress. I’m kinda worried because I think I didn’t stuck to the pattern, knitting more rounds than indicated… Hmm, I’ll see. Next thing is to figure out if I get the additional repeat right. My notes on that are quite… short.

Started second mitten yesterday. It is not as awful as I imagined, mainly because it’s already the third. Also I’m making progress really fast, which is helping a lot.

I finished the first fitting (!!!) mitten. Cranked the hand part out while watching TV in the afternoon. And I even remember what I watched!
Now the second will be a pain in the ass, even though I know I can do it…
I had to add one pattern repeat of the mitten top to lengthen it.

It’s too small :’( I not only made it too tight, but also the hand part too short.
So I will have knit 3 mittens total.
Next try on 4.5 mm needles.

I’m officially hooked on cables. They are easier than expected and lots of fun to make!
Christin was showed the mittens and so far, she is satisfied. Good, good.

Started today. My cable is too short (60 cm / 24’’), so I may need a longer one. I also have to knit one at a time because two mitts do not fit on the cable. As son as I have a longer cable, I will make them two at a time.
