Notes

{9/16/10}Was gifted a huge stack of vintage patterns and fell in love with this coat. It’s taken me 5 weeks and almost 3 skeins to finish the back panel.

{10/02/10} I ordered gorgeous vintage buttons, hand painted. It took forever for them to arrive, since they were shipped from Israel. SO glad I didn’t wait until the last minute to order them.

{1/25/11} Holy sugar cows. I just… This coat took forever. Forever and a day, in fact. I’m really proud of myself for sticking to it. The look on Ella’s face when I gave it to her was priceless. She twirled all around the room with a huge grin.

However, when the twirling stopped she looked at me and said, “But Mom! Where is the matching hat and mittens?”

sigh Here we go again…

I used approximately 10 skeins of yarn and the pattern was NOT well written. I don’t think it was tested, aside from the author. Some key points were missing, but I managed to wing it.
