Notes

12-02-2015

While telling myself I do not need another project, couldn’t resist and I already have yarn wound that I think would work. The question -- will I be able to finish this for Xmas Eve Services? If not, I should be able to wear it for the Sunday after.

12-03-2015

Got through Day 2, but not happy with contrast and the picots, so will frog this evening and remove the Loopy Legends and add Dream In Color Smooshy in Ruby River, which will have a better contrast.

12-03-2015

Frogged and re-knit Day 1 and 2. Much happier with this. Started on Day 3, but will need to finish that tomorrow and catch up to Day 4.

12-04-2015

With the husband having friends over for his usual Friday game night, I curled up in the bedroom with the cats, binged 8 episodes of “2 Broke Girls” and managed to finish Day 3 and Day, so all caught up! Definitely loving the new colors and look.

12-05-2015

The picots are becoming easier as I go along, and it took me a relatively short time to get today’s section of 12 rows done. As the shawl gets wider, I imagine it might take a little longer to do the sections, but I think this is definitely chopped up into sections that will work, even if you’re not the world’s fastest knittiner.

12-06-2015

Had a moment where I got overconfident and lost track of how many rows I was doing for what, then had to rip back. Still only took me three episodes of 2 Broke Girls, so not too long.

12-07-2015

Head was seriously not in the game and it seemed to take forever to do the 10 rows that were today’s clue. I finally persevered — after resisting several urges to throw it all across the room — and made it through.

12-08-2015

Cable break! One of my last Knitpick cables broke after I’d knit most of Day 8. Had to go back to the beginning of Day 7.

12-09-2015

Re-Knit Day 7 & 8. Now I get the lace pattern and am much more happy with it.

12-10-2015

Finished Day 8 & did half of Day 9. Had very little time to knit due to very late meeting at work.

12-11-2015

Finished Day 9 , knit Day 10 and did 2 rows of Day 11.

12-12-2015

Finished Day 11 and made it halfway through Day 12. Catching up looks to be a distinct possibility.

12-13-2015

Finished Day 12 and got halfway through Day 13. Probably would have caught up, but was practically falling asleep over my needles, so decided it was a good thing to go to bed.

12-14-2015

Finished Day 13 and knit Day 14 -- all caught up! Pictures (which I haven’t been doing) taken and posted.
