It’s magic - finish a shawl in TML, the kids get a snow day off of school. 2 years in a row it works! That’s my 9yo daughter helping me with the photo shoot.

1/15 - Finished the 5th repeat, the eyelet garter section, and the garter edge and bind-off, with about 6 yards to spare! Pictures after blocking, but it looks nice!

1/10 - I’ve finished the 4th repeat… going to try for 5 if the yarn holds out.

1/7/12 - AuntyJ returned my yarn, all neatly unbarfed and wound up again. I’m finished with section 4 now.

1/1/12 - Augh! After 1 1/2 repeats, the yarn barfed its guts out of the center-pull ball. It was all Zen at first and now… it’s so not Zen! Thanks to AuntyJ for taking it home to work on; I just can’t handle it. Maybe I’ll cast on another shawl tomorrow.

12/31/11 - I am attempting the 12 shawls in 2012 challenge. My 9yo daughter helped me with the ballwinder and swift today and I will be casting on as the rules require after midnight Oslo time, so that’s any time now for me.
