my friend patty asked me to make her a pair of fingerless gloves (after seeing the pair i made for my sister-in-law). her only request was that they be black. i couldn’t just make them solid black, though, now could i? so, with Eddie Baez’s killer mix of Defying Gravity as my inspiration, i whipped these up!

i primarily used the Knucks pattern to make these, since i really love the way they fit and the thumb gusset always works out really well, but i also borrowed the lateral braid and linen ridge stitch designs from the Treads fingerless gloves.
