One row of knit (or purl, depending on RS or WS) before seed stitch border to avoid color change blips. Three rows of seed stitch (with button holes on 2nd row) and BO in pattern.

Only one full repeat of lattice pattern on sleeves.

Next time will do all of the seed stitch border with size 7s. I know the pattern calls for 8s and 6s but 7s would have been better for my particular knitting in both cases. I slipped the first stitch of every flat-knitted row. Then picked up all of them for the seed stitch border. I think this explains why the 7s would have worked better for me.
