Notes

I’ve been wanting to make one of these since the moment I first saw it back in…wow the beginning days of Ravelry.

A few days ago, I ripped out the ten stitch blanket I had been making with this yarn. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to use it for, but I wanted it available!

We’re moving soon. Been living in the Studio Six Extended Stay for almost a month now. Finally got a place, on a lake, and I am slowly stealing half of the second bedroom for my crafting stuffs. He can call it the fitness room all he wants…

--Cast On (Yay!)
--From the BF is “When will my hat be ready?” (I probably shouldn’t have let him model it as a hat.)
--Feather and Fan section started. I wasn’t sure about the instructions. If I don’t understand what is being asked of me, I might not do it proper. Found confirmation and just knit those nine stitches, moved my starting marker, and kept on going. Of course after I knit those nine stitches…it all made sense. The instructions were just a lot unclear.
--Last repeat of row one (F&F)…I counted 19 stitches. I knew I needed 21. Where are the two missing stitches? (I’m freaking out now) I mock knitted each stitch…hmmm it seems to work out….mock knitted again…yeah maybe…then (yeah stupid feelings) ended up with 21 stitches from the original 19.
--Put the blanket away so I could get some zzzzzz’s

--Made some progress the past few days. Got up to row 18 of the Feather and fan pattern since this weekend. Time to get cracking tonight.

--Finally finished, a few minutes from midnight. I was very worried that I’d run out of yarn, but alas I had about five yards left of the cone. I’d used a little of this yarn to make a few coasters too. Knit up to the gold line, against better judgement. I didn’t feel like digging around in storage for the same dye lot yarn.

Final Thoughts:
--Perfect size, unblocked, for a baby blanket. Easy knit and easy care.
--One cone of Peaches & Creme yarn is the perfect amount.
--Hotel lighting and cell phone cameras don’t mix. Must take better photos.
