Instead of making it flat and sew it, and working bottom up, I made it top-down and seamlessly in the round.
Barbie will simply slip it on.
I also added a slight waist shaping and a garter border at the hemline.
Skirt increases are made by yarnovers, just to add a bit of texture.

I used tiny little leftovers of fingering mistery wool-like yarn, what I had on hand so the colors are not the best match.

First three pictures show unblocked dress, last one blocked dress.
I liked the original puffy shape of the skirt that got lost with blocking. I blocked the skirt as a circle one, but my yarn doesn’t drape well and the result was not pleasant. I had to iron a fold along the increase lines to get the right pleating again, but the puffyness was lost.

Invece di farlo in piano e cucirlo, e di lavorare dal fondo in su, l’ho fatto dall’alto in basso e in tondo senza cuciture.
Barbie se lo dovrà solo infilar su.
Ho aggiunto anche una leggera sagomatura in vita e un bordo a legaccio all’orlo della gonna.
Gli aumenti nella gonna sono fatti da gettati, tanto per spezzare la monotonia.

Ho usato piccoli avanzini di “lana” fingering (in realtà non so che fibra sia), quel che avevo in giro per cui i colori non sono proprio abbinati al meglio.

Le prime tre foto mostrano l’abitino prima della messa in forma (bloccaggio), l’ultima l’abito finito.
Mi piaceva l’originale forma rigonfia della gonna che è andata perduta nel processo. Ho dato la forma di una gonna a ruota, ma il mio filato non cade bene e il risultato era scadente. Ho dovuto stirare delle pieghe lungo le linee degli aumenti per riavere la giusta ondulazione, ma ho perso l’aspetto rigonfio.
