Notes

4 strands of Degas held together.

Another way to get rid of little leftovers is making clothes for Barbie! I think it’s much more fun than making granny squares ;)

This is a top-down raglan sweater.

CO 44 st, 11 for every section.

Yarnover increase, until there are 19 sts on each needle.
Put sleeves on holder, don’t CO for underarm. 38 sts tot.
Make the joining round and another one.

Decrease a stitch on each side every other round, 5 times (28 sts tot).
Knit 5 rounds.
Increase a stitch on each side every other round, 7 times (40 sts tot).
Knit another round, BO (sewn).

For the sleeve:
Pick up 1 st from underarm, knit to last st and k it tog with the picked up one.
Work to 2 st before the center one (on top of the shoulder), k2tog, k1, ssk, k to eor.
Repeat this decrease row every other row 2 times (13 sts tot).

Knit 20 rounds, BO (sewn).

To stop edges from rolling I took a contrasting yarn and made a crochet border all around. Half double crochet (half treble) for the neckline and hem, single crochet (double crochet) for the sleeves because I was running short of yarn… it was a tiny little leftover ball!

NOTE: making a deeper neck opening means having too large sleeves. Despite the decreases, they still look a bit puffy in the shoulder area.
