Cast on - for me very difficult, but doable. I consider to abandon this type of cast on completely and doing it just as I did with my Holden…

I make M1R and M1L as crossed stitches, I hope that’s right. Yes it is and it appears that the only difference is crossing of this stitch (they are mirror images of each other). It’s a nice detail, but I might do just one of them next time.

About this yarn: I like it :) The central pull cake is surprisingly practical. I am curious how the color changes will look like once I am there. The thread is made of four thin strands that are not twisted or woven together so I was afraid it will be difficult to knit it, but it goes very well (I am using bamboo circulars). It is very soft and over all quite nice cotton yarn.

I’ve changed needles to steel, though they are tiny bit bigger in size (but still labeled 3.25mm).

This pattern sis VERY easy to do and to remember, I did only one mistake in the first lace repeat.

Modifications:

• 6 repeats of the lace part
• ending: lace part rows 1-8, then again a row with eyelets, then 2 stockinette rows (that means I did 4 repeats of eyelet rows instead of three); added beads
• bind off with crochet hook (G), single crochet + picots at top of beaded parts that will form the pointy edges once blocked

Beads: in 7 rows of lace ending, I added them both at RS in knits and at WS in purls, but next time - they belong only in the knit rows… One bead is also in each picot in the bind off. Generic blue glass transparent beads.
