Notes

Fell in love with the look of double-threaded sockyarn when working my Restecowl. Decided I need a sweater looking just like this. Hope this will strech enough - looks a little on the small side so far…

Update Nov. 5th: Finished the body yesterday and tried it on - fits well! Ran out of Maxima at the very last rows of the body, used the two Aldi Yarns for the sleeve, which is more jeans blue than grey (as it looks in the picture). Picked up 60 stitches around the arms, will decrease 2 stitches every 4th row up to 36 stitches, as I do not like too wide arms. Hope I will have enough yarn for full length sleeves, but it looks good.

Update Nov. 6th Oh dear, I nearly finished the first sleeve - but I will have to frog it. I do not like the colour at all, I do not like the ribbing and it is too tight anyway. I will try to organize some white/baby blue sockyarn for the sleeves, and I will not do ribbing and I will not make them that tight, only a little towards the end…. sighs

Update Nov 19th
Finally got the white yarn for the sleeves, frogged the whole thing (which was quite a pain in the… as I had Wollkotze every 10 metres as I had to divide the double threaded yarn into two balls again) and restarted with the white yarn. Picked up and knit 54 stitches around the arm, will go on without decreases for at least 20 cm (at least this is the plan so far).

Update Dec. 23d
Wow, that was a loooong knit - but I reached my personal goal to get this done so I could wear it on christmas day - I wear it now! It is not that the knitting itself would have taken so long, but I procrastinated as I had soooo many Julekuler and FairIsle Projects inbetween…

Did not decrease at the sleeves until the very end and only 8 stitches - think they are ok.

Quite like it now, however, I am not sure I will leave it that “naked” at my neck - might knit a loop/cowl/colar from the leftovers of the white sleeve yarn (app. 80 g left).

updated Dec. 26th
Decided it was too naked around my neck and added a collar - just picked up stitches, decreased to 63 stitches around and knitted in stockinette for app. 17 cm. Liked it better naked, but I will wear it more like this.
