Notes

Still in love with this gradient yarn, so I started what is planned to be a cap sleeved top to use up the leftovers I have. Hope this will be enough! I have a full ball of Blattgrün and Grey (50g each), the complete grey part of the Candy ball (app. 40g) and app. 60g of the Wunschbobbel in light Blue and sea blue

Did not do a provisional cast on, but 3 ridges of garter stitch (done in rows - I do not like garter in the row and feel that I am less likely to twist the cast on when I join for the round too early, so this is just fine).

Plan to do yarnover increases and would love to add some flare for the bodice - just have to see if I have enough yarn…

Septerated sleeves from the body. I am about halfway in my 50 g green ball of yarn. So I hope I will be able to finish this with the app. 70 g of grey which I still have.

I added 3 garter ridges before seperating the sleeves and used a single crochet cast off when I casted them off. This should be stretchy enough and I do not plan on any additional finishing for the sleeves.

Casted on 14 stitches below each underarm, as given in the pattern.

Tried it on for the first time - fit looks good so far! I am app. 7 cm below armholes and I assume I will have enough green for another 2-5 cm. So I will start to blend in the grey.

Finished! Did it quite short although I would have had more from the grey yarn, but liked it that way for a summer top. The cap sleeves rolled quite a bit before blocking, we will see how this turns out when dry. The weather forecast predicts again temperatures around 30 degrees, so I might actually wear this this year.

Hm. Not really content with the fit. The armholes are way to wide, the sleeves are still a little on the “ruffly” side… I doubt I will ever wear this, so I will probably look for somebody who will fill it better than me.
