Notes

May 20th: Finished! I only had about 600metres of yarn, so did a small shawl. Followed the pattern untill the fishnet lace, only did 6 rows of that. After the last increase row, I did the garterstitch ridge, 3 rows of stockinette, and 5 rows of K2P2 rib, creating a small ruffled edge. I did not block the shawl in scallops; just wetted it and let it dry without any agressive blocking.

It’s difficult to get the color right, it’s a greyish turquoise blue, but not as grey as in some pictures, but not as blue either. The skein of yarn is the best representation of the color.

May 5th: restarted with another yarn, a bit more rustic and not so superfine. And I am using beads now, tiny black-blue ones. I like the look of this, and I am getting the pattern now!

April 14th: I received the pattern as a RAK, and I had the perfect color for it in my stash.

In my quest to try out all shawl shapes I am doing this halfcircle shawl.

I decided to do nupps instead of beads. I am doing the 5strand nupp as follows: k1, yo, K1, yo, K1 and p5tog on the back row. Not sure yet if I like it.
