2.25mm for cuff and the first 4 repeats of the pattern, then switched to 2mm

As with most of the socks in ‘vintage socks’ these are rather large. I am knitting them for my boss (who is leaving). He is a very conservative dresser, a man you will never see in handknits. I am hoping he will appreciate them anyway, maybe for hiking in the weekend? Not that I know he does that kind of things, he’s more a museum and heritage kind of man….

Even if I knit the cuff a bit shorter (only 20 rows), I ran out of yarn on the 2d sock. And of course the yarn was no longer available at the lys… so I continued with some white yarn, but that did not look good. Finally I frogged the first stocking and reknit both feet with beige and white stripes. I hope it’s not too obvious, and that my boss will like the socks…
