I started this project trying to do a different shalom. I decided to use two different yarns to give it a bicolour look and used some modifications of the pattern found in ravelry. When searching I found some colourful shaloms already in ravelry, the one of krista2318 or the Noro version of craftzone.

I am no yet satisfied with the size of the sleeves, I will adjust it better if I ever repeat the pattern. The major modifications made were those seen on the project by of Hapichick:

• increased 10 st at the cast on.
• skipped two rows in each ribbing section
• added 2 more buttonholes
• adjusted the number of bindoff and cast on stitches for the armpits (will detail it later)
• adjusted shape so that it can close in the front.

I am thinking on doing a new version, more fitted, similar to that of Nordly, with the lace central pattern of Hapichick or even the coat version of firebrunette.

Finished on 3rd of March of 2010. I am quite satisfied with the result although if I ever do it again I would probably cast on even less stitches under the armpits.
