12/27/11 - Almost done with first sock - am LOVING this color and I really really like the pattern. Though I am a little confused as to why it would have one shift the pattern partway through rather than just starting it out shifted in the first place. Not that it makes a big difference, but it makes the directions slightly more confusing. I like the way the garter-edge heel flap looks - have never done one before. Overall happy with this project so far :)

12/28/11 - Finished first sock. 7 total repeats of pattern. Started toe a little later than I probably should have, so modified to decrease number of rounds between decrease rounds by one round each time. Finished with 9 stitches, threaded through twice and tightened.

12/29/11 - Started second sock. First sock was done with cables back by mistake; decided to be symmetrical and do this one with cables forward. Turns out that the reason for shifting the stitches by 2 later on is because otherwise you end up doing cables across corners (working on DPNs), which is a bit awkward, but whatever :)
