Notes

This is a very basic sock, made following the instructions in the online video class on KnitPicks. She kind of does a “well, here’s the parts of a sock, here’s the current part, see you when you do as much as you want of that bit” thing, so it’s not very precise. Given that this is my first sock, I don’t know if this is how sock patterns usually are, though. She doesn’t mention a couple things that would’ve been useful til the next video (based on things she says, I think they got edited out) but I was able to figure most of it it out.

2” of ribbing. 10cm stockinette. Eye of partridge heel flap, 2.5”. 12 stitches for center of heel = 20 stitches when finished heel turn. ~7cm after gusset before starting toe decreases. Decrease to 10st before Kitchener stitch.

One of these socks bit the dust a year or two ago; I’ve kept it (along with my other holey socks) trying to decide if I want to darn or if I want to do something like turn the legs into lavendar sachets for my linen closet.
