Even though I am knitting this a size up for my smaller than average 3 year old, it still seems too short so I am adding an additional 2” the length. This made the body piece measure 11” before I attached the sleeves.

sleeves: cast on 32 sts instead of 28. Knit in rib for 2” knit sleeves to 13.5”. To fix the issue of the 4 extra stitches I did the following on the last 3 rows before attaching sleeves:

row 1- knit 1, k2tog, continue in pattern, knit to last 3 sts, ssk, knit 1.
row 2 - knit
row 3 - repeat for 1
50 sts total

The sleeves ended up being a little bit too long (that always seem to happen when I knit bottom up), but otherwise I love it! He is just starting to fit into it now and I see it lasting through winter and possibly even beyond!

on a side note - He totally should have had his “Bob hat” on for the pics. I’ll have to get some more of him with that on, too!

Most of the notes I am seeing on this pattern say it runs small so I am knitting it a size up with worsted weight yarn and bigger needles.
