June 19: Yep, I forgot a great deal about making socks.Hope the second comes out a bit more…regular…in appearance.

I deeply needed to cast on some socks! Plain Vanilla style!

Why did I use size 3 needles? 4 would have been a better choice. Squishy and thick though. Wild variation from CO to stitches in foot of sock. Foot was 48 st; I think CO may have been 64. Delusions of working out special fitting plan.

In the end, best fit is done by using ribbing in leg.

Barely used Highland tweed to do literally last 2 rows before toe bind off.

5 inch cuff before heel flap.
