Notes

Tour de Fleece 2014 plying and crocheting my handspun yarn. But why would a crocheter seam a sleeve?
Mods to pattern to skip the seaming:

  1. Measured my back, shoulder to shoulder and added 1 inch for ease. About 2 pattern rows. (18.5 inches, in my case)
  2. When I reached that measurement in the lace pattern, I switched to simple double crochet and joined, to crochet the sleevelet in the round.
  3. I did 4 rounds on the tube of the sleevelet, based on using up exactly the yarn I had from my handspun, remembering that I still had another sleevelet to do.
  4. I tied off on the first sleeve, then I went to the pther end, which was the chain row. I joined the ends to crochet in the round, inserting my hook into the cast-on chain and doing double crochet, again for 4 rounds.
  5. I tied it off and slipped it on--it fits perfectly! And I used up just about the entire skein of handspun. PERFECT FIT!
