Notes

Not doing the middle YOs. Increasing one stitch beside of each marker on increase row.

Using 2ply yarn with 2 strands held together.

Adding random sections of stocking stitch ‘stripes’ in contrasting colour.

Picked up and knitted 4 rows of border garter stitch to give the edge a neat finish. Used the same bright blue as the narrow stripes of stocking stitch on the body of the shawl.

I wanted to do something special for Christmas for the Director of the Singing Aloud all-female acappela group of which I am a member. So, when she admired my grey Miss Marple Shawl, I knew I had to make one in our group colours.

I hope she likes it. I added a red shell button just to give it a final Chrismassy finish.

Very colourful. Seems to have worked re-changing colours.

ETA - Gave the shawl to our musical director - she loves it.
