Notes

January 2012 - hibernating until I figure out what to do with this one.

January 10, 2013 - emailed Istex finally this morning, moments later received a PDF with the complete pattern. So very impressed with the company! Now I can actually finish this sweater!!!!!! Gwennie wants it so I’ll likely finish it this week for her.

January 13, 2013 - The curse continues. Knit several inches of the hood (about 6 or 7) and suddenly realized I had started it off center by two stitches. Seriously?!?!?!?

January 14, 2013 - all knitting is done!!!! Debating about the tassels and still need to weave in sixty billion ends, but I’m calling it done! Phew!

Yarn is from Kristy’s mom’s stash! I’ve always wanted to knit this since I bought the book back in ‘97 or ‘98.

Decided to cast on today - it’s a gray, rainy day and made me think of cozy sweaters. I’m hoping to have this one done for the fall to wear on walks with my little boys!

January 18/11
moving this into hibernation. Will revisit when pay it forward 2011 projects are done.

February 2/11
There is nothing like putting a project in hibernation to make me want to pick it up again!

Frogged the few rows I had done and re-started with a darker colour (the colour I’d originally intended to use - not sure what happened there!). Already done
the first section and would happily move onto the second section except I have to wait until I go to the city and get a ball of white Lopi yarn. Depsite having an entire stash’s worth of Lopi I have no white. :(

Looks like my sweater is on hiatus again for a few
days.

February 28/11 update
Progress is slower than molasses in January. Stuck in moss stitch hell right now, but so far, touch wood, no more disasters.

March 28/11
Progress halted. Damn thing is making me too itchy when I knit. This so does not bode well for eventual wearing. :(

March 16/11 update
Had to put briefly on hiatus until I could purchase needles for the sleeves. Needles were bought, progress slowly resumed. Sleeve #1 is half done. I have a sick, horrible feeling it’s going to be WAY too short. Damnit, damnit, damnit.

May 17/11 update
This sweater is going to be the end of me!! I started working on it again this week and was almost done. Then the dogs got my pattern and ate the part I need. Now what the heck am I supposed to do. Oh. And size wise. It would have fit me better if I was oh… you know… about 5’2” instead of 5’6” and while we’re at it lets just say I’m about 30 lbs to heavy for it too. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
