Rolags prepped on a blending board from commercially dyed, solid color Corriedale roving, producing 40 rolags from 4.4 ounces.

Half of the rolags were spun long draw end to end on each of two bobbins, starting with the same color on each bobbin. Since the colors were kept in the same order, part of the plied yarn has color that is the same for both strands and then it marls as one color changes before the other.

Spun on the Windwheel and plied on the Hansen. Aggressive fulling finish caused yarn to bloom and soften.
