A friend asked me to knit a set of family portrait pillows from her wedding photos that she will give as Christmas gifts. I used GIMP to alter the photos. I cut out each person and put everyone closer together, then reduced the size of the image. Then loaded them to the knitting machine with img2track. I knitted them in fair isle, but was quite unhappy with the dithered version and changed it to a shadow-style image and knitted it double bed jacquard. I really dislike the laddering and floats when knitting images that have large blocks of color.

I’m generally happy with the way they turned out. I hope she likes them.
