Notes

I was invited to be the featured artist at the Madison Children’s Museum during one day of their Fiber Arts Week. I set up a work station in their Art Studio. They provided a table set up for kids to draw pictures with bold markers and I selected a few of them to knit.

I used a handheld scanner to scan the artwork into my laptop. I then maximized the image for knitting and loaded it, using img2track, into my Brother 940.

I was able to knit about 10 pieces during the time I was there. The kids were fascinated by the machine and by seeing the artwork knitted. The museum staff took the resulting panels and sewed them up and made them into pillows, which they then hung in a display.

All-in-all a very successful day of public knitting!
