Testing a new yarn base. 160 yards in 100grams.

22 Sept 2012: The yarn feels very soft and lofty so I have doubts about the stitch definition it would give, but so far so good. I thought it would be splitty but it is surprisingly not.

23 Sept 2012: The pattern is perfect! You have 2x2 ribbing, garter stitch, stockinette stitch, decreases, knitting flat, knitting in the round and tassels/pompoms so pretty much the basics are covered. Great pattern to test out a new yarn base! I will need to try cables and lace as well to be thorough.

Done! Such a quick knit.
But since I used worsted, the hat can only fit my son. Still it’s a great way to try out a new yarn base. And the verdict is: LOVE! I love it! Sorry, tooting one’s own horn is not nice but I’m just being honest.

Hat is drying, tassels made and will be added later. Photos to follow.
