Notes

It’s been ages since I knitted socks from the toe up! I’m having a great time remembering the first techniques I learned: Judy’s Magic Cast On, M1, magic loop….happy days!

13 Apr 10: I cast on as soon as I put the Slip Jigs into blockers. I decided to cast on 12sts on each needle on magic loop and work up to 31sts each needle. I completed 3 repeats of the pattern and then went to Ravelry and posted about it here, right now. :)

Using the Rare Gems Water skein from the Once in a Blue Moon sale - loving the way this is working up.

14 Apr 10: Cast on for the second sock on the drive to work. I plan to knit both socks on one long magic loop so that I finish them at the same time.

18 Apr 10: I was going to try Artsygal’s short-row heel but I could not quite figure out how it’s done so I fell back on my usual short-row method. I still want to do the pattern’s short-row heel on the 2nd sock though.

24 Apr 10: Done and done! I decided to do a 1x1 ribbed cuff and also used 2mm needles for it. I used the 2.5s to bind off though.
