Test knitting this for Anke :)
25 Apr 2013: Wound one skein of yarn by hand on the drive to work (husband was driving). The yarn is fabulous to work with and the colours make it fun! First time doing the contiguous sleeve method, am scared, but Anke’s pattern is easy to follow. Will post photo when I have something substantial to show.
26 Apr 2013: On to the 3rd set of increases, which is where the back and sleeves grow. Enjoying it very much.
27 Apr 2013: On the 5th set of increases now where most of the front stitches get established. I’ve separated the body and sleeves and still haven’t used up the first skein. Working up really nicely. I tried it on too and I love this neckline!
1 May 2013: Knitting slowed down a bit in the last couple of days but I am back on track and now working on the waist shaping. I love this! Who knew that simple ribbing could make such an amazing waist shaping method? Cannot wait to try it on!
5 May 2013: Done with the waist shaping. Tried it on and it sits just on top of the waistband of the trousers I had on. Need a few more inches before the bottom ribbing. Loving everything about this top!
7 May 2013: I tried it on last night and liked the length so I started the ribbing and bound off the body. I used up two full skeins for the body and started the sleeves on the third skein. I plan to make a longer sleeve, ending just as it hits the crook of my arm.
9 May 2013: Done! And I love it! Wet blocking it tonight and hopefully will dry over the weekend. Cannot wait to wear it to work.
Thanks, Anke for the wonderful opportunity to test knit this gorgeous design!
