Notes

TL;DR Buy at least one more skien of yarn or you will run out! I was under gauge and ran out! Or avoid Noro due to knots to utterly different colors, twigs, easily breaks, snaggy, etc. If you can make a heel flap sock you can do Entrelac!

Starting on my 8th wedding anniversary. :) My first Entrelac.

Not so bad. Did reverse knitting on first row but decided to flip most of the time. Even getting faster at reverse knitting I don’t find flipping is slower. I admit I watched the video to ensure I understood not to knit across all stitches - just the section in progress.

Hit knot mid skien to wildly different color. Really Noro? Should have bought Chroma. I wet felt the break to the outer yarn end which was much closer color wise and the wound the new free end into a ball and continued knitting. Makes me want to wind all the yarn into a mega ball before continuing and fix the knots early. -.-

Frog. Gauge way off. Would need 2 more skiens.

need to lose half an inch in width.

Rewound into 2 mega skiens for all four.

Hate this yarn. Twiggy - breaks easily - purposely coarse with the little add on threads - looks terrible if you need to frog as it grips itself constantly - doesn’t spit join as solidly as other wool yarns I’ve used. I will go back to my pledge of pretending Noro doesn’t exist after this project. 2 stars for nice colors. How do people make a market out of selling poorly made yarn?!?!

The first time a spinner is proud is when yarn doesn’t look like this! Properly carded, evenly spun, doesn’t pull apart. :P

Making progress. Pattern mostly memorized. Gauge is much closer to pattern. With hope this now won’t be a scarf for a little person.

While I am doing okay making progress (albeit I did use a scrap yarn to tie up a small oopsie on a side triangle -- MAGIC!) I am still concerned about yarn usage.

I am well under the width gauge. So you’d think I’d easily get 3 feet out of the 2 skeins I wound together. Yet I keep looking suspiciously at my ball of yarn.

Worst case I guess I can make this into one of those loopy cowls that seem so fashionable in the Atlanta area. (I swear I saw 7 in thirty minutes at the mall).

REALLY wish I could find my kitchen scale.

I am seriously doubtful about the yarn totals in this. If I blocked it aggressively I’m no where near 1.5 feet and the skien is just running out. If I am at 6 inches unblocked width, and the pattern is at 6.5, how could I have not enough yarn -- unless Noro shorted the skiens? Damn it..grr

As the yarn was short and I was about sick of this I bound it off into a cowl you wrap around twice. I will get gauge and measurements up soon with final pictures!

Wove needle through back and forth twice - one a few stitches down, then one above that, then whipped (er - whip stitched ) the crease. It’s not coming apart darn it!
