Notes

My first toe-up socks! Using the instructions from Lara Neel’s “Sock Architecture” for medium wedge toe.

Start with 16 stitches, increase to 36, alternate round increase to 72.

1 extra round of contrasting color for toe before switching to main color.

2017-05-12

Knit 80 rounds in main color, then do a fish lips kiss heel in contrasting color. When FLK heel is complete, slide 2 twin stitches from right to left needle then resume knitting with main color.

Somewhere along the way, I lost a stitch. A simple m1 around the heel diagonal put it back.

Sock leg is 12 rounds past the FLK heel + 100 rounds of stockinette before switching to contrasting color for cuff. (112 rounds of leg total)

2017-05-26

For cuff, switch to contrast color and inc 6 sts in first round. After inc round, switch to 1x1 ribbing for 20 rounds.

Bind off with Jenny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off, using the variation in the Fergus’ Socks pattern by yarnesty.
