This pattern is awesome! It’s such a quick knit, and the hat is lovely.

I’ve completed:
1 eyelet version
1 hearts version
1 ribbed version

It’s easy to distribute the cast on, work the pattern, and do the crown shaping by casting on 24 sts on each of 3 DPNs.

I modified the crown shaping to have symmetrical decreases: k2tog, kx, kx, ssk -- where “x” is the number of knit stitches originally listed in the pattern. I’m going to try this decrease instead next time: k1, k2tog, k(x-1), k(x-1), ssk, k1.

Yup, I tried the other symmetrical decrease, and I like it, too.
