When I learned that “Die Hard” was one of Kriste’s favorite movies, I knew I had to find a way to implement the “Now I have a machine gun. HO HO HO.” motif into her sweater ornament. My DW had the idea of attaching the note, which worked wonderfully, AND provides an opportunity to take the part about the machine gun off the sweater if it is to be displayed around people who might not appreciate the “Die Hard” reference.

Of all the sweater ornaments I’ve knit, this is definitely my favorite. Lots and lots of fun.
