Sock yarn, so I decided to knit the sports weight version with 59 stitches to have something between a new born and 3 month version

. knit 1 row, knit a row in the Back of Caston stitches - close to a round
. *P1, m1, p18, m1 p1* twice
. k 1 round
. *P2, m1, p18, m1 p2* twice
. k 1 round
. *P3, m1, p18, m1 p3* twice
. k 1 round
. *P4, m1, p18, m1 p4* twice - 56 stitches

. knit 8 rounds
. purl 1 round
. knit 1 round
. knit 20, ssk 4 times, k2tog 4 times, knit 20

. knit 34 (14 stitches of round not knitted)
. wrap & turn, purl 20, wrap & turn
. k1, ssk 4 times, k2tog 4 times, k1, w&t
. p8, w&t
. ssk 2 times, k2tog 2 times, knit 14 stitches to finish the round,

continue in rounds:

. k14, k3 (the wraps together with their stitches), ssk, k2tog, k3 (wraps), k14
. p15, ssp, p2tog, k15 -> 32 st in total
. k1 p1 for 12 rounds
. bind off loosely (Jeny’s surprisingly stretchy bind off)
