Here’s another baby stripes pattern using unknown yarn that I retrieved from a crochet granny blanket I had abandoned. I know all the yarn for that was dk weight and machine wash and dry, so felt comfortable making a baby sweater with it.

I seem to have one of these sweaters in the works at all times. I keep the project in a basket, and if ever I find myself on the phone or driving around in the car with my husband, I’ll grab it for some knitting company. I’ve got a little collection of these now and when someone in my circle has a new baby, I’ve got a few sweaters from which to choose.
