I did the lace version, and I expanded it to use more yarn.
In the Chart B2 written there are some rows with repeat brackets in them. I wouldn’t bother placing markers for them. On the next pattern row they will change. I did however find it helpful to my sanity to place markers between the leaves and the inserts as well as were Romi says to place them for the edge. The same rule for the YOs applies for the markers were I placed them. I also took a highlighter to the pattern, and highlighted the edge, and lace sections in different colors so that I could find my spot on the row easier. The charts, and rows are big, but the knitting is actually fairly easy.
Because I knit with a yarn that is a lace and I had more, I continued knitting after I had finished Chart C. I re-knit chart C using the edge, first leaf section, and center were the insert and new leaf band are introduced. I knit the other inserts as established.
I stopped my second pass of Chart C on row 67 of the chart. Thought I could have probably made it the rest of the way through I didn’t want to cut it close on yarn, and I didn’t know how much my BO would take.
You can also stop cleanly in the pattern after row 33.
My expansion did not effect Chart D or the BO other than to make more stitches on the long row, and BO.
