This was going to be my first KYH 2011 project, but I forgot to sign up in time. Oopsie. Anyway, I promised the designer I’d test knit the pattern, so that’s enough reason to do it anyway :)

Finished the 3rd repeat of chart 2 on June 13th. The plan so far is to do 5 repeats of that chart, so I can finish the other charts properly. I tend to knit loosely, and I’m slightly afraid of running out of yarn, even though I’m using fingering instead of laceweight.

Started chart 3 after 5 repeats of the previous chart.

In the end, I did 5 repeats of chart 3 and cut out the final patterned row of that chart, as I was afraid of running out of time. Once pinned out for blocking, the shawl measured 70 x 145 cm. It will make its grand debut at my best childhood friend’s wedding on July 1st. About 10 grams remain of the skein.
