01/01/2012 - I needed a simple project for all the car time I would be spending this weekend and this looked perfect. Stash busting some yummy Nimbus yarn for this.

My stitch count was right on (120) but I somehow added a stitch my first row, so when I went to my first eyelet row I was off by one at the end of the row. I purled the last and first stitch together and it looks just fine. I suspect this will be a pretty warm snug little cowl. Love the feel of this yarn and am pleased with the pattern. Perfect for the car.

01/02/2012 - Was off on my second eyelet row as well. But not the third. Hu. Not sure what I was doing there. I think the YO when switching from a purl row to the eyelet row might have been throwing my count off. Still looking good.

The yarn is already showing wear just from knitting it. Am hoping it bucks up a little when I finish it and do the wash and block thing.

01/08/2012 - Finished the knitting last night. Need to weave in the ends and soak and block.

I have 13 grams of yarn on my second skein left over.

I did 5 pattern repeats and then ended with the purl/eyelet/purl round (In theory that will give less curl) and then bound off in knit stitch.

01/10/2012 - Cowl is blocked and ready to go. Took a few quick shots to give an idea of length. Love this with my black pea coat - it covers the triangle opening nicely (keeping my neck covered) and is a nice pop of color. Perfection!
