8/16/14 - Kind of winging this as I go.

░ Cast on 48 sts over two needles held together - joined in round.
░ k2,p2 ribbing for 3”
░ knit for 5” before placing waste yarn for afterthought heel.
░ Inserted afterthought heel.
░ Added 2 stitches on each side (24|2 + 24|2) 52 sts
░ Knit 3 rows before beginning decreases.
Round 1:
K1, ssk, k→ to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1
Switch to back of needle and repeat
Round 2:
KNIT all
If my notes are accurate I skipped the last knit row(?)
░ Kitchener heel at 24 sts
Checked for fit and I was right on the money, so I started toe decreases. (same as heel)
Round 1:
K1, ssk, k→ to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1
Switch to back of needle and repeat
Round 2:
KNIT all
Tried on and I wanted a little more wiggle room, so I knit one additional row when I finished the round 2 at 24 sts.
░ Kitchener at 24 sts.
░ used 52 grams for sock 1.
░ Used 48 grams for sock 2.
(suspect my balls of yarn did not start at 100 grams even - should weight skeins before I start for more accurate measures.)
Completed Sock 1 on 8/25/14 and began sock 2.
Finished Sock 2 on 8/31/14.
Fastest socks ever and I love them like crazy. Super thick and dense and I know they will be my go-to socks in the winter. May get silk liners for them and make them my go to Winter activity socks.
(Purchased a pair of Fox River Wick Dry Coolmax Liner Socks off Amazon to line these. Will be unstoppable!)
