Notes

I am knitting these two-at-a-time on one circular needle, toe-up. (Handy toe-up notes.)

The pattern looks like it’s the same when it’s upside down, so I didn’t make any changes to the charts for knitting toe-up. However, for knitting two at a time, and having the socks mirror each other, I printed the charts specifically to help me get it right. I knew I’d want to always read the pattern right to left, so I printed a page of each chart; on each page, the chart is printed as it’s shown in the pattern, AND it’s printed mirrored. (Most people would probably just read a row, and then for the second sock read the same row back in the other direction, but I have photoshop and I’m not afraid to use it.)

Design Specifics
Pink around the top ONLY.

FIN!
I couldn’t find a small quantity of pink to knit the cuff, and I can’t afford to buy a whole ball just for a few rows, so these socks aren’t quite to spec. But. These are actually the actual most comfortable socks I have ever worn, including my favourite Noro sock. The pattern is excellent, of course, but I think it’s the yarn that makes them special. It is just stunning.

I am so proud of these. I can’t wait to send them to my mum. :):):)
