Planning to knit this as a pullover instead of a cardigan. Will be using the intarsia in the round technique for the colorwork down the sides, as shown in this youtube video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofSotC-vPSw

8/24/13 - swatched with my main color yarn. Looks like I will be using one needle size smaller than the pattern calls for (which I expected, loose knitter!). Waiting till the start of the KAL on 8/30 (and till I buy 2 balls of Ty-Dy Wool) to cast on.

After reading a bit of Knit to Flatter, I chose the 40.25” size since choosing the size that actually fits my fullest bust measurement would be too huge in the shoulders. I am adding increases on the front only, after the flowers are finished. Since I’m using smaller needles to get stitch gauge, my row gauge is higher - so those extra rows I need to get from the flowers to the length of yoke to full bust allow me some space for increases. I don’t think I will add the A-line shaping below the bust, though, just keep it straight.

Mods made for pullover:
1) Inc’d one extra stitch on Row 13 of yoke to have the correct number of stitches to work Chart A in the round.
2) Moved my beginning of round from center front to right shoulder after finishing yoke, to avoid any possible jogs in a really obvious spot!
3) Stitch count changed in #1 above resulted in a different stitch count before increasing to work Chart B. (Still working on math… what I thought would work, wasn’t, but it was late on Saturday night after a very, very long day!)
4) After finishing yoke motifs, increased 4 sts every other round on front only over 18 rounds(36 sts increased) to create bust darts (AKA “boob pockets” - LOL). I had the extra room to do this before dividing sleeves because my row gauge was tighter than specified in pattern.
5) After working an inch or so even after bust dart increases, decreased 4 sts every other round over 6 rounds.
6) Working the A-line increases on back only.
7) Picked up more sts at underarm than pattern stated, to close up gaps - decreased extra sts on first round of sleeve.
8) I modified the sleeves unintentionally by following the number of decreases for the second-smallest size instead of the third-smallest size. I also modified them intentionally by knitting to a shorter length for my short little arms.

10/19/13 - Wore it for the first time on my girls’ weekend with my 3 closest friends. Crappy cell phone bathroom mirror pic will have to do for a project photo till I can have hubby take one with the good camera.
